The Real Housewife of New Orleans Teresa Giugliano has a message for anyone who thinks they can escape the real-estate boom: If you want to be a millionaire, you’ll have to get out of the real world.
“I think people are starting to realize, you know, the bubble has burst,” the Real Housemother of New England said in an interview with CBS’ “Face the Nation” Sunday.
“People want to live in the city, and they want to buy homes and they think that they can stay in the bubble and they can have their cake and eat it, too.”
But I think the real issue is, people want to get to the point where they’re living comfortably, where they have good jobs and they’re not living in the shadow of the financial crisis.
“And I think that’s when you’re going to see the bubble come to an end, because if you have a job that’s meaningful, if you’ve got a family that’s good, if your kids are good, and if you’re healthy and happy, you can live comfortably in your neighborhood.”
So, I think, ultimately, that’s what I want people to understand: I don’t know where I’m going to be, and I know that I don`t know what’s going to happen.
“In the meantime, Giudicie’s new movie, “The Last Supper,” is being filmed at a New York City studio, but the New Yorker is still not convinced the city will make her a millionaire.”
But no one’s really looking to get rich. “
[There’s] a lot of speculation.
But no one’s really looking to get rich.
People are looking to be in their homes, being able to enjoy their time and be a part of their community, and that’s where they are.””
So if you want, you don’t have to leave the city,” she continued.
“You don’t even have to move into your house.
If you do, you won`t have to do anything.
You won`re living the life of a New Yorker.”
The real estate mogul said she hopes the film will help young people to find themselves and not be deterred by the financial challenges of the housing market.
“There are so many people out there who have lost their homes,” she said.
“So I think it`s going to make them realize, ‘Hey, there are people who are willing to make a living, but there are also people who want to have their dreams fulfilled.'”
